If you are uncertain about making online payments to the CRA, don’t worry! This post will list down all the methods available for making online payments to the Canada Revenue Agency. Following are the methods of online payment accepted by the CRA:
- Online banking (processing time is around 1-2 business days)
- Interac Debit, Visa Debit, or Debit MasterCard using CRA My Payment (processing time is around 1-2 business days)
- Pre-authorized debit (PAD) (processing time is around 5 business days)
- Credit card, debit card, PayPal, or Interac e-Transfer (processing time varies based on service providers)
- Wire transfer (processing time is around 3 business days)
The following online payment methods are NOT accepted by the CRA as of yet:
- Crypto currency (Bitcoin etc.)
- Gift Cards
- Cash
