The tax year end varies for different things. In the case of graduated rate estate, CRA states that:
- This type of rate estate can have a non-calendar tax year.
- A Graduated Rate Estate will have a deemed tax year-end on the day when the estate stops being a Graduated Rate Estate. This cannot be later than the day when the 36-month period after the death of the individual ends.
